We had such fun times in the water today! A BIG Thank you to all who’ve sacrificed your sleep to join us for the dragon boat session! *Cheers* We are sure everyone enjoyed and yeap, keep the boat rowing and youthful passion burning!

….There were many occassions
when my eyes brimed with tears. The touching moments, the truly sweet
and selfless love that brimed forth so naturally from the families of
the patients, the youthful vibes that all our volunteers & friends
have shared so wonderfully.. These are all precious treasures of the
heart that no money or gold can buy.

Our songs may not be the best,

It may not be much but we hope our singing during the visit to Renci brought joy to the patients. Eileen’s brother volunteered to be the guitarist and he certainly did a wonderful job while the rest of the volunteers gave all their heart singing for the Renci patients.

在一个美丽的星期天你会做些什么呢？ 大概有很多人都会选择在家里赖床吧或者逛街之类的。

Kg Chai Chee YEC 今天主办了一个非常有意义的活动 - 召集人马到仁慈医院探望那里的病人。 我当然也参与了。

仁慈医院坐落在两个地方，一个在 Jalan Tan Tock Seng 令一个在 Buangkok View。 Jalan Tan Tock Seng 是属于疗养院而我们今天所探望坐落在 Buangkok View 的是住着 Chronic illness 的病人。

YEC 会员提早手制了一些风车而今天参与的人到了仁慈医院后由 YEC Chairman 教大家用气球做 Balloon Sculpture。 平时我最害怕就是气球破，今天想到要把气球扭成一只小狗，心里就直发毛。 可是就凭着为了病人而做的信念，我成功的做了起码有十只以上吧。 气球到了最后有破那么的一次，手指虽然有点儿痛但是比起那里的病人，真的不算什么。

到了病房的时候，有的人负责分发风车和气球，有的人负责把带来的食物发给每一位病人。 我们也在每一个病房为他们唱歌。 看到那里的病人心中有许多的感触。探望了一百多位病人，有家人或亲戚朋友探望和陪伴的，真的少之又少，是十根手指可能都数不完。 今天是星期天，难道家人忙到一点时间都抽不出来吗？看了后真的很心酸。

有一位病人今天过生日。 他的太太在身旁照顾和鼓励他。 他的太太告诉我们医生本来说他只能活三天，可是他已经在仁慈住了三年。 我们大家为他唱了生日歌，在继续为他唱了首 Collin Raye 的 Love Me。 歌词里不是有句 “…if you get there before i do, don’t give up on me….. ” 唱到这句时，我听到太太一直在他耳边，摸着他的头，摸着他的脸，对他说“听到了没有，不要放弃，赶快好起来”，我的眼泪都在眼角了，深呼吸，把眼泪硬往肚里吞。 有人还忍不住走了出去擦眼泪。 病人似乎感动了，我看到他眼角也有泪，太太对他说“不用难过，他们都是心地善良的孩子来鼓励你，为你唱歌，你应该高兴，赶快好起来吧”。 我都快憋死了，但是不能让病人看到我眼中带泪，一直强忍着眼泪。

另一位让我感到心酸的病人是一位女孩儿，她大概只有二十来岁吧，看起来似乎全身瘫痪。 我们探望她的时候，她的爸爸、妈妈也在。 我们送她的风车和气球，她的妈妈拿到她面前笑着逗她，我们唱歌的时候，她的妈妈就把床调高，让她看到我们。 看到她的父母一头白发，而她那么年轻又得了重病，原本应该是个幸福的家庭，我感受到父母不放弃子女的那份爱，深深的被打动了。又是强忍着在眼角的泪。

这次到仁慈一趟感受到了一些病人家人对他们的不离不弃，也看到了许多不孝子女，把病老的父母遗弃在仁慈。 希望我们这一趟会带给仁慈病人欢乐与温暖，也希望我们每一颗热忱的心能够带给他们希望，并祝他们早日康复。
